Wellbeing Beyond the Buzzword

What does wellbeing look like when it’s truly embedded in boarding life?

This session explores the connection between wellbeing for learning and learning for wellbeing, drawing on the Learning in Residence Program at Ascham School. Designed for Years 7–12, the program sits at the intersection of Self-Determination Theory and the Dalton Framework, focusing on autonomy (voice and ownership), competence (mastery and confidence), and relatedness (belonging and care).

Through practical examples—including everyday boarding initiatives and the Ascham Guide Dog Puppies Program - this webinar highlights how wellbeing can move beyond a buzzword to become a meaningful, lived experience that supports boarders to thrive both at school and beyond.
