Webinar Description
Cyberbullying can be all too easily dismissed.

But cyberbullying is not something that can be ignored. It is unrelenting, pervasive and destructive.

Thanks to online platforms, bullying now takes place long beyond the final school bell. It can involve huge amounts of people – many of who you have never even met – all keen to jump on the bandwagon to get a public reaction.

The assumed anonymity of the digital space creates a sense of disinhibition, providing keyboard warriors with the perfect opportunity to be vindictive and destructive.

Today’s children have to contend with all manner of cyberbullying – from being left unanswered, experiencing social exclusion, the humiliation of shared images, all the way through to trolling, doxing and sextortion.

Cyberbullying can have a lasting impact on the victim, affecting them emotionally, socially and academically.

As carers of young people, it is vital that we know what signs to look out for and learn how to address cyberbullying before it reaches its most devastating outcome.

Join Jean Yates, Director of Education at Cybernetic Shield, as she discusses the impact of cyberbullying and ways to address it.
